Silas Andersen graduated in 2025 with a degree in Sports Media and a minor in Spanish from Butler University.
Originally from Ithaca, NY, Silas has a deep passion for sports, with a particular focus on baseball, softball, basketball, and football. At Butler, he was an active member of the club Ultimate Frisbee team.
Silas gained valuable international experience working at the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin during the summer of 2023, contributing across various roles. Silas interned at ESPN Ithaca radio station in 2024, handling research and production responsibilities. Additionally, he played a key role in Butler Sports Live, engaging in all aspects of broadcast production.
His background in sports media dates back to high school, where he provided live announcing for multiple sports, including girls’ lacrosse, girls’ basketball, baseball, flag football, and soccer.
