The Utah Talons hosted the Texas Volts in Athletes Unlimited Softball League action on Tuesday Night. There was no score through the first two and a half innings of the game but in the bottom of the third inning the Talons put up three runs on a bunt single by Aliyah Andrews and Hanah Flippen scored from second base on the throw, and two batters later Jadelyn Allchin blasted a two-run home run over the center field wall. Then in the top of the fourth inning the Texas Volts responded, scoring two runs of their own on an RBI single from Jackie Lis and an RBI groundout by Rachel Garcia. The Utah Talons would then score two more runs in the bottom of the fourth inning getting a two-run single from Jadelyn Allchin her second two run hit of the game. Then the final three innings were also scoreless much like the first two innings of the game. Jadelyn Allchin was the star of the game for the Utah Talons going 4-4 on the day and driving in four of the Talons five runs. The Texas Volts were held to just six hits and Jackie Lis was the only player with a multi-hit game going 2-3 and driving in one of the two Volts runs. Georgina Corrick threw a complete game giving up just 6 hits, walking 2, striking out 5 and giving up 2 earned runs. The Talons would go on to win by a final score of 5-2 and improved to a league-best 11-4 on the season while the Volts fell to a league-worst 3-11 on the season.
